The Artworks

The artworks displayed here are the culmination of a fusion of energy between photographer and subject, creations born from choosing new possibilities over knowledge; the outcome of risk-taking and exploring the infinite potential of reality.

The stories we tell literally make the world.

Michael Margolis

I am a photographer, yes. But more deeply, I am a storyteller. In place of a pen I have a camera but irrespective of the tool, my aim is the same: to amuse, emote, inform, educate, entertain and inspire. It is these stories, mined in the heart and crafted in the mind, that makes each photograph unique, and the collection of art an intensely personal experience.

Every image in this collection is presented with its own unique story, enabling you to enjoy not just the imagery but also to revel in its creation, from the blue-fire voltage that sparked the original idea to the magic that lies in the final print. Beautifully bestowed in an elegant scroll of fine handmade paper, it is the perfect accompaniment to your investment.

Limited ``Lifetime`` editions

Limited “Lifetime” editions are limited to a maximum of 88 prints. On the sale of the 88th edition, the original digital file is transferred to a secure storage medium, which is kept in a protected location. No further prints will be made for the lifetime of the file.

Artist's mood editions

The legendary American photographer Ansel Adams once said of photography, “The negative is the score, the print is the performance.” What Adams meant by this musical metaphor was, just as an orchestra or ensemble may play a score with subtle (or sometimes dramatic) variations, so might a photographer create prints with delicate deviations from each other. To celebrate this uniqueness of heart and mind, Weston artworks can be ordered as an Artist’s Mood edition. These one-time, one-off impressions are a one-off reflection of self and moment. They are processed at the time of order and reproduced solely for you, making each one a one-of-a-kind never-to-be-repeated rendering.

Printing process

All Weston artworks are first printed as a Giclee print on to transfer paper using dye sublimation inks, which consist of a solid and heat intensive dye. This is then applied to a specially coated 1.2mm aluminium panel. Using both heat and pressure, the dye particles change into a gas, bond with the polymers in the aluminium, and then change back into a solid state, fusing image and metal.

This special process produces artworks with outstanding depth, clarity and colour, which really has to be seen to be believed. They are of archival quality – waterproof and abrasion, fire and chemical resistant, making them suitable for almost any interior or exterior environment.

To protect the security and genuineness of your investment, we use a globally-recognised combination Certificate of Authenticity and holographic labelling system. Each certificate is watermarked and a serialised, numbered hologram is added with matching hologram fixed to the reverse side of the artwork. The combination of printed certificate and hologram assures that each Certificate of Authenticity relates to one particular piece of art.
